Person register: The said person. If he/she is under the age of 16, a family 
                 　　　member over the age of 16, or a relative who live with has to
                 　　　apply on his/her behalf. 

Inquiries           : General affairs department, general service section on the first floor

All foreign nationals who are not of Japanese nationality are required to apply for
alien registration at the city hall. They are also required to carry the Alien 
Registration Certificate Card at all times. (The initial registration must be made 
within 90 days of entering Japan.) 

If they give birth in Japan, it must be registered within 60 days from the date of birth. 

Required Items              : Passport 
          	                           2 copies of photo (only required if 16 years old or over)
          	                           Upon childbirth registry, the birth certificate issued by
          	                           the doctor or the hospital.

Changes in registration:  In the case of any changes occurring place in 
                                           nationality, status residence, authorized period of 
                                           stay or the place of residence, the registrant is 
                                           required to inform the city hall of the details 
                                           within 14 days.
