Construction
on this is artificial lake started in 1937 and was finally completed
13 years later. It is maintained as a beautiful scenic park. In the
vicinity of the lake there is Fujinuma Shinto Shrine, a showplace of
wisterias, azaleas and wild cherry trees that blossom beautifully in
the spring time. In the park, Fujinumafs hot spring gYamayuri-soh,
gFureai Landh (cottage village and camping site) and the nature
surrounding are there to be enjoyed by the public. |

This
is a European style cottage village and a camping site near Lake
Fujinuma. There are many natural charms, fresh air, spectacular
scenery, and balmy breezes.

Park Golf Course . |
It
is a golf course that extends to the forest south of gFureai Landh.
It is in a beautiful location where Lake Fujinuma can be seen and
enjoyed by young and old alike. Barbeque facilities and a
multi-purpose plaza on the west side of Lake Fujinuma are also
popular among families. |
gGoshinh Temple |
It
is said that this temple was founded by Honzen Toutaku Zenji in
1351. On January 28th of every year, one of the treasures
gFudou-Myououh at the temple is open for viewing to the public. Also
in this temple is the wooden gSitting Buddha Shakyamuni Imageh which
is an important cultural asset for Fukushima Prefecture. |

It is
a beautiful building like a white walled warehouse in the country.
The contents of the museum have been enhanced; there are excavated
ruins from 8000 years ago. There is also an old drawing of the
Naganuma Castle from the Edo period, a traditional noticeboard from
the Meiji Era, and a photograph of scenery and town customs from the
Taisho- Showa Eras. Collections from gNakayama Gishuh, the Akutagawa
Literary Award winning writer, who has a deep connection with
Naganuma, are also exhibited. |

It
is said that the castle was constructed in the gBun-ouh age (13th
century). The site of the castle stands at a height of 30meters from
the plain and is made from natural stone. In April the beauty of the
wild cherry trees including gSomei Yoshinoh cherry tree and gHiganh
cherry tree can be seen. |
gHokotsukih Shinto Shrine |
This
is an old Shinto shrine that is situated in gKameiyamah. Itfs title
was changed in 1870, before that it had been called the Kashima
Shinto Shrine since the middle ages. The main shrine is of special
importance as a culutral asset of Fukushima Prefecture. |
